Build a template
Create a reusable, versioned message body with {{variables}}, preview it strictly, and move it through approval.

Create
In Templates, create a template with a name, a channel, a category (Utility, Marketing, or Authentication), and the body. Put placeholders in double braces — e.g. Hi {{name}}, your appointment is {{time}}. Servus extracts the variables automatically. A new template starts as Draft v1.
Preview (strict render)
Click Preview and supply sample values to see the rendered result. Rendering is strict: every {{variable}} must be supplied — a missing one is an error, not a blank. This catches gaps before you ever send.
Submit → Approve
Move the template through its approval lifecycle: Draft → Pending approval → Approved (or Rejected). Only approved templates can be used in campaigns. On WhatsApp, Meta has its own template-approval rules on top — the manual flips in the portal are the dev/operator path.
Versioning
Editing the body publishes a new version and resets approval to Draft. That keeps an audit trail and means an approved template can't be silently changed underneath a campaign.
AI authoring
When AI is enabled for your workspace, Servus can generate a template from a short brief and translate an existing template across languages — you still review and approve the result. If no AI provider is configured, these affordances are simply hidden.
